Trauma and Grief Counselling

I’m Janet, a university qualified counsellor based in Sydney.  I'm guessing if you've arrived here there are some hard things that have happened or are happening for you ... I would be honoured to journey with you as you explore these.

I have spent my career working across education and health, and have worked therapuetically in paediatric palliative care and children's hospitals for the last two decades.

Areas of Expertise

Support for children, teens and adults

Grief and loss

Chronic Illness and Palliative Care

Preparation and support for medical procedures or treatments and medical anxiety

Infertility, pregnancy and child loss

Pregnancy and parenting after loss

 My Approach

I use a trauma informed approach and I'm passionate about supporting and empowering people on their grief and trauma journeys.

As humans we are designed for connection and when we experience grief and trauma, we need support to come back to presence – to feel seen and heard.

.

I know that counselling is a powerful way of helping people reconnect with themselves through accessing their own intuitive wisdom.  I believe that we all hold everything they need to heal but sometimes need support in connecting this capacity.
